Companionship with a clear usage boundary
KOIBOT's support page describes ROLA as social companionship for adults aged 21 and over, and states zero tolerance for sexual use. A human-like body shape therefore does not make ROLA a sexual product. We present the platform as a social robot so it can be compared with other forms of physical AI.
One platform, two body forms
ROLA One is an upper-body model on a base. Unity has a full, poseable body form. Both are explicitly described as stationary and intended for conversation and presence. The head's motors do not establish independent walking, body activity or sexual functionality.
Movements are manufacturer information
The official AI page lists eight degrees of freedom across the eyes, mouth, cheeks and neck. Videos are labelled as product films or prototype footage, where features may vary with configuration and software. We have not measured response, noise, battery life or motor movement on a physical unit.
Ordering is not delivery
The online shop lists made-to-order production of around 20 days and shipping from October. This is the manufacturer's estimate, not our confirmation of customer deliveries. The quoted shipping price includes international transport; Danish import charges are not included in the standard terms. The final configuration must be stated in the order confirmation.
Memory, subscription and language
AMORIA is described as having context and long-term memory. The membership page lists three months included, followed by options including USD 44.99 a month or USD 449 a year. It also mentions cloud storage and usage limits. English and Japanese are listed as standard; other official sections give different language lists. Danish is not documented.
Local-first does not mean documented offline operation
The privacy text says sensitive processing is prioritised on the device where possible. It also mentions external AI, speech and cloud services, and international data processing. We therefore cannot describe the entire conversation feature as offline. Memory controls and export are features described by the manufacturer, not findings from our practical testing.
Finish and care require caution
The manufacturer describes a silicone surface, cosmetic finish and delicate electronic components. The instructions recommend stable indoor placement and gentle wiping, while ports and joints must stay dry. Height, total weight and measured operating noise are not stated in the hardware overview used. We have not tested touch comfort or cleaning.
