Before buying a motorised model
Choose by documented functions and everyday handling. A robot name does not tell you what is included.
Ask for one written summary of the model, body material, installed motors, controls and accessories. It must match the quoted price and current manual. A manual joint, a sound sensor and a motor are different features; a conversation service is another component that may have its own terms.
What moves, and how does it stop?
Ask to see the movement range, speed control and stop button for the exact variant. Ask what happens if the network, power or remote control is interrupted. Note whether control is local, through an app or via an external service. Promised future features should be listed separately from what you are ordering now.
Can you clean every part?
The Lovense AI Doll FAQ says the robot head must not be immersed and that full care instructions will come with delivery. If cleaning access has not yet been described, this remains an open purchase question. Clarify removable parts, drying methods and approved products for both the body and electronics.
Operating time is also a limitation
The RealDoll Robot manual specifies a maximum of one hour of operation for the robot head, with half an hour of cooling between sessions. This is a model-specific operating rule, rather than a norm for all robots. Ask for equivalent information for the motor package: runtime, heat, charging and parts that must stay dry.
Conversation may have ongoing costs
SEDOLL's FAQ describes an internet requirement and paid subscription for Annika's voice function. According to the page, voice interaction is unavailable without a subscription. Include both the purchase price and ongoing services in your comparison.
Space and servicing are part of the purchase
Confirm the total weight with motors, permitted storage methods and who can repair the system. Ask about spare parts access and the actual service process. Keep the final configuration and delivery date in the order confirmation; advertising photos cannot answer these questions.
A model is easier to assess when function, controls, care and ongoing terms are documented together. Unresolved points should be clarified before ordering.
