Replika is an obvious comparison when an avatar and an explicitly chosen relationship type matter. Its visual world differs from a text-only character. Value depends on whether your desired feature is included in your plan; a higher subscription name does not itself prove better conversations.

Avatar and relationship are the starting point
Replika combines a visible character with conversation, memory and a chosen relationship type. It is relevant if you want a recognisable visual presence on your phone. A setting such as virtual girlfriend frames the software experience. It does not mean the system has an inner feeling of attachment or understands you in the same way as a person.
Compare the specific plan
The official overview distinguishes free use from several paid tiers. Pro includes features such as relationship type, voice messages and premium voices; higher tiers highlight additional memory and features. Current prices appear in the app or chosen store. Check the renewal date and where the subscription must be cancelled in particular. Deleting an app should not be confused with cancelling a subscription.
What happens to the conversation?
Replika's May 2026 policy describes processing chat content and the possibility of sending minimised, de-identified data to external AI providers to generate replies. The policy says conversation content is not used for advertising; this is not a promise that the website never uses advertising-related technology. Use account settings for deletion and read the retention exceptions. We have not security-tested the service.
