The manufacturer's memory promises are not a measurement of accuracy; this should be examined through specific repetitions over time.

Choose the base character carefully
During setup, you choose the relationship, name and basic traits, among other things. The original traits and initial interests cannot be edited directly afterwards, while background notes and conversations can influence the character's context. This favours starting simply. Our assessment: try an ordinary conversation and adjust the background notes before investing time in a very long fictional history.
Voice, pauses and subscription
According to Nomi's voice guide, text and calls continue within the same conversation. Hands-free calls process what you say and may therefore have a noticeable pause. Paid access is required for voice features. Nomi's own and custom voices and external ElevenLabs voices have different usage rules. The refund policy generally states no refunds for dissatisfaction or non-use; read the specific agreement and any mandatory rights before paying.
Personal conversations are still data
The April 2026 policy states that Nomi does not sell or rent personal information and recommends avoiding identifying information in chat and customisation. Content may be processed on servers outside your country. Account deletion is described as a process with exceptions, so we do not present it as immediate, complete deletion. No independent privacy audit has been conducted here.
