Motor, face and controller: who can repair your robot?
The question is not just whether support exists. You need to know who can help with the specific part and what restoring it to operation requires.

A physical AI head or motorised doll may combine cosmetic finishing, mechanics, a power supply and software. A fault can therefore require very different solutions. A new cable, an account adjustment and a repair inside the head are not the same service task. Before an expensive purchase, it is useful to have them described separately.
Distinguish care parts from mechanical parts
SEDOLL's Yuuka configurator offers items including adhesive, a repair kit and adapters alongside motor options. A visible repair package does not establish that a Waist-spin motor can be bought or replaced by the owner. Make a separate spare parts list for the controller, power supply, connections and mechanism you order. Obtain a part number or written identification if a replacement part is offered. This makes a later enquiry specific and shows which parts the manufacturer actually has a plan for, instead of treating a general kit as covering everything. [1]
A detachable body connection does not mean a freely repairable face
RealDoll's robot manual says users must not remove the face and should contact the manufacturer if removal seems necessary. This is a different restriction from removing the entire head from the body as instructed in the manual. Ask which tasks you may perform yourself and which require a workshop. An explanation of how to access a connector or screen is not automatically an instruction for servicing internal motors. Use the specific product manual rather than transferring the procedure from a similar model. [2]
Have the repair process described, not just the contact address
TOP-CYDOLL's service policy asks for a description of the problem and photos and video of both the product and packaging. It describes different procedures depending on the time since receipt, but is not a public repair manual for Polly's neck motor. Get a specific answer on whether a fault is resolved with a replacement part, remote assistance or sending the unit in. Also clarify where it must go, who carries out the work and how costs and transport are approved. A friendly support description is useful; it does not document spare parts stock or repair times for your version. [3]
Motor servicing should accompany the motor choice
SEDOLL refers to robot functions as wearing parts in its motor article. Its general service policy also has a separate section on faults in robot and heating functions. Ask for the specific terms for your configuration to be explained, including how a later paid repair would be offered. An answer about ordinary surface damage does not answer a question about a faulty motor. We do not use the manufacturer's general policy to promise particular cover or establish that a replacement motor will be available years from now. [4] [5]
A replacement head may also require account assistance
SEDOLL's Annika guide describes unlinking an account and states that the old binding code expires when unlinked. This shows that hardware identity and account access are linked in the setup. Before a repair or replacement, support should explain how the new unit is linked and what happens to the subscription, settings and any saved data. Unlinking does not in itself document data deletion or transfer. Do not share your password as a substitute for a documented service procedure; ask for the official route to assistance. [6]
Keep one service summary for the final order
The summary can be brief: model and installed options, contact point, manual version, known spare part numbers, permitted owner maintenance and the process for an approved repair quote. Keep it with your proof of purchase and product identification. If a return service is offered, clarify packaging requirements before discarding the original box. This makes servicing part of the product you compare and ensures a fault enquiry starts with the relevant information. Unanswered questions should remain unresolved in your assessment, rather than being replaced by an assurance that the manufacturer will probably find a solution.
Our assessment
A good purchase offers a clear route to help with both mechanics and accounts. Choose based on documented parts and specific service actions. Anything still unknown should be clear before you decide on the final configuration.
