Five mistakes when cleaning sex dolls
A single cleaning method rarely suits an entire model with several materials and functions.
Cleaning becomes more manageable when you divide the product into its surface, internal channels, removable inserts and electronics. Each part needs an established method. Here are five choices to clarify in the manual, so a random internet guide does not become your only instruction.
1. Choosing a product by material name alone
SHEDOLL's TPE guide advises against concentrated alcohol. In contrast, the RealDoll Robot manual describes a separate alcohol method for its SenseX sensor insert. The difference concerns specific products and parts. A substance listed in one manual is therefore not automatically suitable for another body, head finish or insert.
2. Mixing a user's tip with a manufacturer manual
ZELEX also publishes tips from a customer competition. One describes a shower jet followed by wiping with alcohol. This is a user's method, even though it appears on the manufacturer's page. ZELEX's general maintenance guide advises against alcohol. Where advice conflicts, the manufacturer should clarify the method for your model.
3. Stopping when the outside feels dry
RealDoll Classics requires complete air-drying inside its standard removable insert. A dry exterior does not show whether the inside is ready. Check drying according to the relevant manual before replacing an insert or enclosing the product.
4. Scrubbing painted finishes
The RealDoll Robot manual warns against rubbing the face hard, as this can remove the sealant and make-up. It also does not allow users simply to remove the robot face. Washing and disassembly are different actions; seek specific guidance if a part is difficult to reach.
5. Using heat or powder as a shortcut
SHEDOLL's silicone guidance requires complete air-drying in the shade before the described aftercare. Storage must be away from heat and sunlight. Do not devise your own heating, powdering or timing schedule to speed things up. Follow the sequence and products specified by the manufacturer.
Our assessment
Create a short care list for your model and installed options. This gives you a repeatable routine and makes clear which questions the manufacturer still needs to answer.
