When the phone becomes part of the experience.
App control adds possibilities. It also adds things you should investigate before buying.
Start with the type of control
Local Bluetooth control and control over the internet are different functions. Check what the product requires in terms of phone, account and connection. Lush 3 documents control over distance; Chorus also uses a remote control in the setup.
Read about the connection
Read the manufacturer's current app, phone and setup requirements. Lovense specifically explains that Bluetooth may be unstable underwater, even though Lush 3 is rated IPX7.
Investigate privacy before creating an account
Read the app's privacy policy, examine the permissions it requests and find out how to end sharing. Sexrobotten has not conducted a security or privacy audit of the apps discussed.
Agree on control and stopping
With shared control, everyone should agree on when it is active and how to end it. Find the product's stop function and disconnection options in the current guide before use.
Three connections to assess separately
Start with local button controls, move on to Bluetooth between the phone and product, and finally investigate control over the internet. A model can work at one level without working at the next. Record the name of the specific app and supported product version. This makes it easier to establish whether a problem concerns pairing, the network or a particular software feature.
An app does not turn a motor into AI
Lovense Flexer combines a motorised bending function with vibration. Kiiroo PowerShot uses vibration and can save a custom programme for offline use. Both have connectivity features, but their mechanics are not evidence of built-in AI. AI Sync instead describes software analysis of video movement. Read the difference between AI, app control and video synchronisation.
Choose a usable experience without the connection
Find the physical on/off button in the manual and check which functions can be selected locally. Consider whether you would still want the model if your phone were unavailable or an external service changed. A locally saved sequence, a remotely controlled sequence and AI analysis should appear as different options in your comparison. We have not tested connection stability on specific phones.
Read the app's policy as well as the store's
For Kiiroo's connectivity features, FeelConnect's developer policy explains the app's data use. An online shop policy describes a different process. Examine guest access, accounts, partner pairing and which data is processed during connections. See Feel Technology's privacy policy and Lovense's policy. Their statements are not our security audit.
